Mariah Carey has opted to completely ignore the kick-off of spooky season with a special

holiday announcement.

as such—took to social media on Monday (Oct. 2) to confirm that “the actual defrosting has begun” because her holiday tour is coming to a city near you this November and December.

The Merry Christmas One And All tour commences on Nov. 15 and will hit major cities including Los Angeles, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, and Philadelphia before concluding in New York City at Madison Square Garden, a week before Christmas.

Carey’s 1994 hit record, “

All I Want for Christmas Is You

,” is a staple for the holiday season. Last year, she released a book titled

The Christmas Princess

and commemorated the season with a

CBS special

When speaking with

Entertainment Weekly

about the 25th anniversary of the singer’s

debut holiday album

, she explained, “‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ gives me a feeling of happiness I can’t describe, so it’s a different thing. Yes, it’s a hugely successful song. Do I think it’s the best song that I’ve ever written? I don’t know how to judge that. [But] it has its own place for me.”
